ARLINGTON HEIGHTS — Father William Carpenter, CSV, died Dec. 6, age 65.

Brother David Robert Schulte, OFM, a Franciscan friar of the Sacred Heart Province, died Nov. 24 at Villa East Health Care in Sherman, age 70.

Sister Angela Kirchgesner, OSU, of Springfield died Nov. 14, at the Loretto Home of St. Francis Convent. She was 88.

Sister M. Michaelene Grady, 93, a Dominican Sister of Springfield, died Nov. 23 at Sacred Heart Convent.

Sister Esther Redmann, OSU, died Oct. 26, in New Orleans, at age 83.  She was a judge on the Diocesan Tribunal in Springfield from 1989 through 1998.

Sister M. Florian Naber, 94, a Dominican Sister of Springfield, died Nov. 3 at Sacred Heart Convent in Springfield.

Father Jovian P. Lang OFM, 90, a friar-priest of the Franciscan Province of the Sacred Heart (based in St. Louis) died Nov. 4 of heart failure in Springfield.

ALTON — Sister Catherine Harrison, OSU, also known as Sister Bartholomew, died Nov. 7 at the Ursuline Queen of Peace Healthcare Center, age 94.

Sister Mary Ritaclare Cleary, OP, of the Dominican Sisters of Springfield, died Oct. 24, age 91.

Sister Anna Rita Muschiol, OSF, age 94, of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis died on Oct. 24 at St. Francis Convent, Springfield.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Sister Rebecca Peters, SSND, died Oct. 17 at the School Sisters of Notre Dame motherhouse in St. Louis, age 72.

Sister M. Margene O’Donnell, OSF, age 91, of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis died Oct. 3 at St. Francis Convent, Springfield.

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Sister M. Kevin Jones, CSC, died Sept. 5 at St. Mary’s Convent at Notre Dame.

ALTON — The Funeral Rite of the Catholic Church was held Aug. 1 for Maurice R. Roberts, father of Father Don J. Roberts of the Springfield diocese, at St. Mary’s Church in Alton. Mr. Roberts died July 29 at age 83.

ST. LOUIS — Father William E. Kekeisen, retired priest of the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois, died Aug. 29 at Mother of Good Counsel Home, age 79.

Leo J. Enlow Sr., 88, of Springfield died Sept. 3 in the rectory of St. Anthony Parish in Effingham, where his son, Msgr. Leo J. Enlow, V.F., is pastor and dean of the Effingham Deanery.

FLORISSANT, Mo. — Sister Sophie Marie Meehan, CDP, 74, died from cancer Aug. 13 at the Sisters of Divine Providence convent in Florissant.

ALTON — Sister M. Raphaele Goebel, FSGM, 55, baptized Jayne M. Goebel, died July 30 at St. Francis Convent Infirmary in Alton.

Father Wilbert Hegener, OFM, age 99, of the Franciscan Province of the Sacred Heart, died July 15 at Loretto Home of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis in Springfield.

Sister Rita (Mary Julia) McGrath, OP, 89, died July 23 at the Dominican Sisters Motherhouse, Springfield.

CAMPBELLSPORT, Wis. — School Sister of St. Francis Elka Becker died July 11, 2009 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. The daughter of Joseph and Mary Becker, she was born Feb. 27, 1904 in Howells, Neb. She was received into the School Sisters of St. Francis July 17, 1919 and made first profession of vows Aug. 10, 1921 and final (perpetual) vows Aug. 23, 1927. She recently celebrated her 90th jubilee as a School Sister of St. Francis.

Sister Jean Marie Schwarz, OSF, age 85, of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis died July 6 at St. Francis Convent, Springfield.

Sister Mary Norine Picolotti, ASC, died June 28 at the ASC Ruma Center in Ruma. Sister Norine made first vows on July 1, 1933 and final profession on July 1, 1938. She was 95 years old and had been an Adorer of the Blood of Christ for almost 76 years.

ADRIAN, Mich. — Sister James Adele LaBonte, formerly known as Marie Elizabeth LaBonte, died June 17 at the Dominican Life Center in Adrian, Mich. She was 88 years old and in the 69th year of her religious profession in the Adrian Dominican Congregation.

DONALDSON, Ind. — Sister Lorine Huelskamp, PHJC, 86, died Sunday, May 31 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth, Ind.
