Sister Anna Marie Mehigan (also known as Sister M. Josepha), 76, a Dominican Sister of Springfield, died Jan. 7 at the Dominican Motherhouse in Springfield.

Sister Peter Damian Chiang, 87, of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis, died Jan. 6 at St. Francis Convent, Springfield.

Sister James Marie Pallas, 90, a Dominican Sister of Springfield, died Dec. 13, 2010.

Sister M. Virgil Bohman, 86, of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis died  Dec. 15, 2010 at St. Francis Convent, Springfield.

Brother Michael Groesch, 97, of the Franciscan Brothers of the Holy Cross died Dec. 11.

ALTON — Sister Dolores Marie Ramsey, OSU, died Oct. 19 at the Ursulines’ Queen of Peace Infirmary.  She taught many years in Springfield.

Sister Paula Marie Miller, 83, a Dominican Sister of Springfield, died Oct. 1.

ALTON — Sister Ruth Marie Call, OSU, died Sept. 25, at Saint Anthony’s Hospital here. She grew up in the Springfield area and spent many of her 65 teaching years in Springfield-area Catholic schools.

RUMA — Sister Loretta Berra, ASC, died Sept. 19 at the Ruma Center. She was 94 years old and had been an Adorer of the Blood of Christ for 76 years.

CAMPBELLSPORT, Wis. — School Sister of St. Francis Joselia Stroeder died Aug. 31 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport, age 95.

ALTON — Ursuline Sister Grace Jokerst, born Inez Julia Jokerst, died Feb. 9 at the Ursuline Queen of Peace Healthcare Community, age 95.

MINNEAPOLIS — Father Elgar Bockenfeld, OFM, of Sacred Heart Province of the Order of Friars Minor (Franciscans) died Jan. 26, in the cardiac intensive care unit of Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He was 93.

Sister M. Aquinas DuChene, OP, 96, a Dominican Sister of Springfield, died Jan. 30 at Sacred Heart Convent, Springfield.

SINSINAWA, Wis. — Sister Stephanie Stauder, OP, died Jan. 13 at St. Dominic Villa, Sinsinawa. The funeral Mass was held in Queen of the Rosary Chapel at Sinsinawa Jan. 18, followed by burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
