Springfield Knights of Columbus to meet June 13

The Knights of Columbus Springfield Diocese chapter meeting will be held Sunday, June 13, at the Effingham Knights of Columbus Hall. All Hall of Fame members in good standing are asked to be present and assist in the selection process which begins at 12:30 p.m. The council luncheon will begin at 1:15 p.m. followed by the meeting at 2 p.m.

The chapter represents 67 Knights of Columbus councils in the Springfield diocese and works with the diocesan bishop to assist parishes, religious and families.

The agenda for the meeting will include approval for the 2011 budget; election of chapter officers for the 2010/2011 year; a membership report by state chairman Steve Mann of Council #4179; and discussion of the Aug. 15 trip to the Cubs/Cardinals game.

All Knights in the diocese are welcome to attend the meeting. Each council is urged to send a representative for the roll call of councils.
