Father Albert is internationally known as a preacher, teacher, spiritual director and radio personality. A missionary to China for over 11 years, Father Albert is the author of five books on popular spirituality. He is the director of the International Institute for Clergy Formation based at Seton Hall University, South Orange, N.J., and is the co-host of Spirit and Life, a radio show heard every weekend on the Relevant Radio Network, Barage Broadcasting and the Presence Radio Network.
The day’s theme is “From the false self to the true self: Becoming the person God calls us to be,” which will be divided into three talks:
• The True Self: characteristics of contemporary holiness;
• The False Self; how we are seduced by illusions; and
• Freedom: Breaking free from the agenda of the false self.
The fee is $20, which covers the cost of the speaker and a luncheon catered by Tuscany Restaurant in Decatur.
