Deborah A. Albin has been named new area director of Catholic Charities of the Coles, Douglas and Edgar Counties. A resident of Mattoon, Albin has held positions with responsibilities in safety training and staff development, quality control, accounting and media relations as well as serving as a regional supervisor for Illinois Power Company where she developed and implemented an employee recognition program.
She has also worked with United Way, Eastern Illinois University Peace Meals Office and has served as volunteer development coordinator for the American Red Cross.
Catholic Charities of Coles Douglas and Edgar counties provides a wide range of services to people of all faiths in the tri-county area. Through its main office located in Mattoon, Catholic Charities operates the 15,000 square foot Vintage Shoppe resale store and eBay service as well as providing a voucher assistance program, MedAssist program, the Blessings food pantry as well as adoption and referral services. In addition, Catholic Charities brings its Back To School program to communities throughout Coles, Douglas and Edgar counties on an annual basis providing clothing and school supplies to children and families in need.
