Christmas Walk to benefit Catholic Worker House

Christmas table settings, such as the one shown above, will be featured on the St. Isidore Parish Christmas Walk, Dec. 4 from 1 to 4 p.m.DIETERICH — The St. Isidore Parish Council of Catholic Women will host a Christmas Walk, "Showing Our Homes for St. Hedwig Haus," Sunday, Dec. 4, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Proceeds from the walk will go to the St. Hedwig Haus in Charleston, a Catholic Worker House that provides a home for women and children in need.

Homes on the walk are: Joe and Tina Brummer residence, Jerry and Alice Goeckner residence, Rodney and Brandi Lidy residence, and Sue Sandschafer residence. At the parish's Bishop Hall multiple table settings, Nativity sets, decorated Christmas trees and villages will be shown, plus refreshments will be served and live entertainment will be available.

A four-piece place setting for eight along with crystal stemware will be raffled off, along with various other prizes. An "Operation Santa" Christmas quilt will be raffled, with proceeds to benefit military men and women.

Tickets for the Christmas Walk are $5 and may be purchased in advance at: First National Bank of Dieterich, National Trail Bank, Washington Savings Bank, Teutopolis State Bank and St. Isidore church office. On Sunday, the day of the walk, tickets and maps will be available at all five locations.
