Written by

DECATUR — Decatur Catholic Radio WDCR and Relevant Radio will broadcast a live episode of the popular Father Rocky: Go Ask Your Father show on Wed., Feb. 29, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 520 E. North St., in Decatur. The broadcast will take place between 5:30-8 p.m., during a fundraiser dinner, to support Catholic radio on the air in the Decatur area.

Tickets are $10 each for a spaghetti dinner, which includes a salad bar, garlic bread and a beverage. A table of 10 can be reserved for $100.

Father Francis J. Hoffman, JCD, an Opus Dei priest known to Catholic Radio listeners as "Father Rocky," is executive director of Chicago-based Relevant Radio. On his Go Ask Your Father show, which is broadcast nationwide, Father Rocky answers questions listeners submit about the God, the faith and the church.

"Catholic radio programming lifts the heart and feeds the soul," Bishop Thomas John Paprocki said at the station's dedication Mass, last May 25, at St. Mary's Hospital Chapel. Father Hoffman was a concelebrant at that Mass.

Doors open for the taping and dinner at 5 p.m. on Feb. 29.

To make a reservation, send name, address, and a check for the number of tickets ordered to Decatur Catholic Radio, St. Mary's Hospital, 1800 East Lake Shore Drive, Decatur, IL 62521.
