Healing and forgiveness focus of relic and refuge dedication

VANDALIA — Our Sorrowful Mother ministry in Vandalia is holding a Healing and Forgiveness/Fatima Relics, and Refuge dedication on June 22-24 in Vandalia.

Father Ubald Rugirangoga, a Rwandan priest, will share first-hand knowledge  of what took place in his homeland, April through June 1994. An estimated 800,000 Rwandans were killed in the space of 400 days.

Father Ubald will talk about how healing and forgiveness are possible in all circumstances.

Available for veneration will be relics of Blessed Jacinta and Blessed Francisco, two of the children who experienced the apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima. The relics are from their caskets when they were moved from the small village of Aljustrel into the Basilica of Our Lady of Fatima.

On Sunday, June 24, the official Refuge of the Remnant dedication will take place at Mother of Sorrows, with Bishop Thomas John Paprocki the celebrant.

Space is limited, so people are advised to contact Our Sorrowful Mother’s Ministry at (618) 292-8039, or (618) 267-3876 if they are interested in attending.
