Mr. Jallas was born April 16, 1932 in Springfield, the son of Joseph J. Jallas Sr., and Dorothy Ramelow Jallas. He married Joan R. Hutton of Springfield on May 25, 1957. She, his parents, and one son, Kevin A. Jallas, preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Patricia, and one brother, Robert.

Surviving are three sons, Father Robert J. Jallas of Springfield, Brian G. Jallas and Douglas R. Jallas, both of Chandlerville; two granddaughters, Rachel A. (Jallas) Skien and Jamie Wilcoxen; two sisters, Joan Graces of Tucson, Ariz., and Susan Auerbach of Springfield; and one brother, William Auerbach of Springfield.

Graveside services were held Nov. 14 at Bath Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in St. Louis or St. John's Children's Hospital in Springfield.

Hurley Funeral Home, Havana, was in charge of arrangements.
