NOKOMIS — Singer songwriter Julie Carrick will present "Living Our Catholic Creed," a catechetical artistry concert on Sunday, June 30, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Louis Church, 311 S. Elm St.
Carrick is a wife, mother, inspirational speaker and director of catechetical artistry. Her music is regularly played on Catholic radio around the world and she has appeared numerous times on EWTN and other TV stations throughout the U.S. With 16 years of national and international ministry experience she brings a bold expression of truly living the Catholic faith. Additionally as a lung cancer survivor, she shares a true witness of what it means to live the life of a Catholic woman in all of life's circumstances.
Among many of her accolades, she received the Artist of the Year award from both the Academy of Independent Recording Artists and the United Catholic Music and Video Association. She is equally at home in any size gathering but loves presenting her "mini musical missions" in local parishes since that is where her Catholic journey began.
A free will offering will be accepted at the concert. For more information, call the church office at (217) 563-7146.
