The name of the six-hour program is "Come Fly/Train with Us" and is meant to help create more excited and involved DCCW members. The two presenters for the program are Suzanne Erpenbach from Knoxville, Tenn., and Mary Matheus from Longwood, Fla.
Matheus currently serves as NCCW treasurer and is comptroller of a major firm in Florida. She was appointed to the National Leadership Training Development (LTD) Team in 2006 to create a program to increase the knowledge of its members, give them practical tips to use in their councils and to train members to be better leaders. She has a grown daughter and son, one grandchild and another on the way.
Erpenbach has a nursing degree from St. Louis University and is the director of Stewardship and Development for the Diocese of Knoxville. She is one of the original developers of the LTD program for NCCW and is a wife and mother of three grown sons.
The Sunday meeting includes morning coffee and sweet rolls during the 8-9 a.m. sign-in, the NCCW leadership program, lunch and all materials for a $30 fee.
Overnight accommodations for up to 50 people are available Saturday night, assuming double occupancy, for $30 per person. Each room is furnished with two twin beds and a private bath. The facilities are fully handicapped accessible.
Additionally, a 6:30 p.m. Saturday dinner is optional (for $10) and a 7 a.m. Sunday breakfast is optional (for $6). Msgr. John Ossola will celebrate Saturday evening Mass (in the Villa Maria chapel) at 8:30 p.m.
