Totus-Tuus-Mass-Sherman-colorTotus Tuus (translation: Totally Yours) wrapped up its final week (July 22-26) of Catholic summer parish missions geared for youth in first through 12th grades.

Sessions were held at: St. Brigid, Liberty; Our Saviour, Jacksonville; Ss. James and Patrick, Decatur; Blessed Sacrament, Springfield; St. Edward, Mendon with St. Joseph, Quincy; St. Mary, Paris; Forty Martyrs, Tuscola; St. John Vianney, Sherman, with St. Aloysius, Springfield, and St. James, Riverton; St. Charles Borromeo, Charleston; St. John the Evangelist, Carrollton; and St. Anthony, Effingham.

Attendance totals are not finalized, but Kyle Holtgrave, director of youth and young adult ministry for the diocese, said, "What is most exciting about this year is the number of staff members who are seminarians from this or another diocese, or religious order; (who are) considering a career in public service or a teaching career."
