Funeral Mass held for father of Father Kerber

Mr. Kerber was the son of the late Eugene and Agnes Boever Kerber Sr. He was a long-time resident of Kirkwood, Mo., where he lived with his first wife, the late Dorothy Decker Kerber. After her death, he married Louise Scholle Kerber and moved to Shrewsbury, Mo. Mr. Kerber was a partner in the accounting firm of Kerber, Eck & Braeckel. He was a former member of St. Peter Parish in Kirkwood and most recently Curé of Ars Parish in Shrewsbury, where he volunteered as an usher for many years. He also volunteered his accounting services for the Missouri Historical Society.

Surviving are his wife, Louise; children, Robert Kerber, Barbara Wyatt, Jeanne Boedeker, Michael Kerber, John Kerber, James Kerber, Thomas Kerber, Father Joseph Kerber and Mary Catherine Kerber; step-children, Thomas Landy, Michelle Northington and Elizabeth Grothe; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Dec. 2 at Curé of Ars Church in Shrewsbury, Mo., with Father James Burns presiding. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery, St. Louis.

Kutis Funeral Home, Affton, Mo., was in charge of arrangements.
