Seven men are being inducted into the 2007 Springfield Chapter Knights of Columbus on Oct. 27. A Mass, dinner and the induction will take place at Bethalto Council #4688.

This year's inductees include: Theo J. Knust, Father Fanning Council #4372, New Berlin; Daniel L. Lawrence, Mattoon Council #1057, Mattoon; John A. Connors, Council #1712, Collinsville; James J. Spears, St. Benedict's Council #10556, Auburn; Fred O'Conner, Holy Family Council #4179, Springfield; Steven K. Sims, Bethalto Council #4688, Bethalto; and Wilbert Haarmann, Effingham Council #665, Effingham.

Additionally the 2007-2008 Springfield Chapter Officers have been elected and include: President Gerry Glaus, New Berlin Council #4372, New Berlin; Vice President Gary Schmidt, Holy Family Council #4179, Springfield; Treasurer John Szerletich, Springfield Council #364, Springfield; Secretary Joe Buscher, Teutopolis Council #2874, Teutopolis; Warden Nicholas Wente, Teutopolis Council #2874, Teutopolis; Three-year Trustee Bernie Mennemeyer, Bethalto Council #4688, Bethalto; Two-year Trustee Randy Bauser, Bethalto Council #4688, Bethalto; and One-year Trustee Larry Smith, Holy Family Council #4179, Springfield.
