stfrancislogo.jpgLITCHFIELD - St. Francis Hospital introduced a redesigned logo and new slogan in a marketing campaign launched on Sept. 24. The new logo features a dove within a cross representing the Holy Spirit and honoring St. Francis of Assisi's great love of animals.
"St. Francis of Assisi, the hospital's patron saint, was known for his gentle manner and humble heart. He considered all creation his family," said Dan Perryman, St. Francis CEO. "When researching the teachings of St. Francis, one will find drawings of the saint to usually include birds or doves. We are pleased to honor him within our new logo design.
"The new logo also represents a new St. Francis Hospital, one that is moving forward with positive momentum. Our newly launched Web site www.stfrancis-litchfield.org offers a wealth of information on the services we offer."
Perryman said the hospital has recently hired Press Ganey, one of the industry leaders in patient satisfaction measurement. After a hospital stay, a large sampling of patients will receive surveys in the mail that allows them to comment on the service they received. The information will be used as a tool to improve service.
"We will focus on quality and continue to work with our physicians and staff to improve our level of quality," Perryman said. "By monitoring state and national data, we will know how we compare to other healthcare providers and use the information gained to improve our care.
"The redesigned logo and new slogan ‘A Mission of Healing - A Passion for Caring' contains both past and future objectives. We will continue the mission set forth by the Hospital Sisters over 130 years ago, and we are focusing on improving our level of care by adding new services and state-of-the-art technologies."
