DECATUR — Holy Family Parish in Decatur welcomes former pastor and now Bishop Carl Kemme of Wichita, Kansas to lead a three-day parish mission from Oct. 26-28. The message will take place each evening at 6:30 p.m. in the church, located at 2400 S. Franklin St. A gathering in the Parish Center will follow each presentation.

"I am delighted to have been invited to return to Holy Family Parish for a parish mission," said Bishop Kemme. "I'm looking forward to this homecoming to spend some time with former parishioners and great friends."

The title of the mission will be "Three Virtues of a Disciple in 2015!" Monday, Oct. 26 will focus on "Humility," Tuesday, Oct. 27 will be on "Mercy," and the final evening's topic will be "Hope." For more information, call the parish office at (217) 423-6223.

In 2014, Pope Francis named Bishop Kemme the 11th Bishop of Wichita. He served as the fourth pastor of Holy Family Parish from 1996 to 2002, later becoming vicar general of the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois while also serving as pastor at several parishes.
