QUINCY - Blessed Sacrament Parish will hold a parish mission from Sunday, Nov. 4 through Wednesday, Nov. 6. Each evening will begin at 7 p.m. in the parish church at 1119 S. Seventh St.

Presenting the parish mission will be Father Bruce Nieli. Father Bruce is a member of the Congregation of St. Paul and is available for parish missions, retreats, and diocesan/regional conferences (in English and Spanish). He offers the spirituality of St. Paul the Apostle with a focus on connecting Catholic faith and American culture, which is the particular mission of Paulist founder, Father Isaac Thomas Hecker.

The three-evening mission will focus on a different aspect of the Spirit's work each evening: "Responding to the Spirit ...": in the soul; in the church; in the world.

Organizers hope the parish mission will be an opportunity for parishioners and anyone else who wishes to attend to experience a renewal of faith and an increased appreciation of the Spirit received in baptism. The mission will also provide those attending a chance to reflect on how the Spirit might be empowering them to live their faith in the world.

Transportation and child care will be available each evening. A period of fellowship with refreshments provided will be held immediately following each session. For additional information about the mission, call the Blessed Sacrament Parish office at (217) 222-2759.
