Quincy University receives grant to renovate lab

Quincy University students have access to a newly renovated physics lab thanks to a generous grant from the William Randolph Hearst Foundation.

The Center for Science renovation is one of seven major projects for which QU is raising funds as part of the university's Forever Forward Comprehensive campaign.

The Center for Science renovation is one of seven major projects for which QU is raising funds as part of the university's Forever Forward Comprehensive campaign.

The plans to renovate and expand the Center for Science totals of $5 million and over $2.3 million has been raised toward this effort so far. The natural acience program at QU has grown steadily, and most recently saw a 25 percent increase in graduates from 2014 to 2015.

The Hearst Foundations are national philanthropic resources for organizations and institutions working in the fields of education, health, culture and social service. The charitable goals of the Foundations reflect the philanthropic interests of William Randolph Hearst and are designed to ensure that people of all backgrounds have the opportunity to build healthy, productive and inspiring lives.
