NOKOMIS - Students at St. Louis School celebrated Catholic Schools Week, Jan. 27-Feb. 2, by reaching out to help others in the community.

Diantha Harston, Meghan Bertolino and the kindergarten, first- and second-grade students visited the Salvation Army Women's' Shelter in Hillsboro, where they delivered a large assortment of personal care items, cleaning supplies, hats and gloves that were donated by St. Louis School families.

The third- and fourth-grade students of Tricia Pinkston joined the lunch crowd at the Golden Circle Nutrition Center. After their meal, they entertained the diners with a few songs.

Debbie Walcher's fifth- and sixth-grade students visited Nokomis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center where they had fun playing games, such as checkers, Pictionary, Battleship, and tic-tac-toe with the residents.

Students in Reonna Hand's seventh- and eighth-grade class spent an afternoon at Nokomis Food Pantry, where they helped to restock shelves.
