The third annual conference of the Our Lady of the Highways Ministry and St. Raymond Parish at the K. of C. Hall in Raymond will be held April 5. "Living the Faith: Today and Tomorrow" is the conference theme.
Registration and continental breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., with speakers beginning at 9 a.m. Lunch is also included in the admission charge which is: adults $7.50; students $5; priest, deacon and religious free.
One of the speakers for the day will be Patty Schneier from the Archdiocese of St. Louis, a housewife and mother of three who uses song, Scripture, and writings from her journal to share the story of her challenge to God and his daily response. Her topics for the day will include: "Prove It, God! ... And He Did;" "Prayer: God, I Really Don't Have Time for This," and "Spread the Good News."
Father Wade Menezes, CPM, vocational director of the Fathers of Mercy, will give a talk on: "Let Your ‘Yes' Mean ‘Yes' to God" and "The Living, Teaching Authority of the Catholic Church." Father Menezes will celebrate Mass at 4:30 p.m. in St. Raymond Church. Father Wade has been a guest on several episodes of EWTN's Mother Angelica Live.
