“We have such a caring community of people who support the St. John’s Breadline. We want to share the delicious, made-from-scratch soup being served every day while also raising money for the guests we serve every day,” said Shawna Harris, St. John’s Breadline supervisor, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Springfield in Illinois.

Catholic Charities St. John’s Breadline has been serving the community since 1928. Open 365 days a year and providing anywhere from 500-600 meals a day, the Breadline is a lifeline to not only the homeless, but to many people who are on fixed incomes or have various disabilities. One of the great features at the Breadline is that every day they make 40 gallons of made-from-scratch soup that guests can enjoy while there, as well as take some home for a meal at a later time. This event is sponsored by our friends at Ameriprise Financial - Koch, Sylvia and Associates.
