PEORIA - The regional TEC Conference, in conjunction with the Peoria Diocese, will hold a Communities of Faith and Follow-Through (CF&F) Workshop  May 2-4. The three-day training event, held at the Spaulding Renewal Center in Peoria, will focus on the role each TEC adult faith community plays in ministering to Catholic youth and young adults before, during and after the TEC weekends.

"Communities of Faith & Follow-Through presents the complete vision of the TEC adult faith community - how it is formed and sustained, and the important role it plays in the lives of the young people TEC serves," said TEC Conference executive director Ron Reiter. "The youth and young adults rely strongly on the adult faith community as a source of support and guidance in their journey of faith."

In 2004, the TEC Conference Spirituality Committee developed the workshop at the request of local leaders wanting additional training. To date, eight other workshops have also been held in dioceses across the U.S.

Through Eucharist, prayer, round table discussions and multimedia presentations, workshop participants will gain the resources to more effectively minister to the young people in their diocese; become prayerful and discerning TEC leaders; build partnerships both within their diocese and with other ministries; and live the Gospel and paschal mystery spirituality more powerfully.
