The 2008 Liturgical and Sacred Art Exhibition will be held May 3 through June 7 at the Gallery of the Springfield Art Association, 700 N. Fourth St. in Springfield. The exhibit is being held in conjunction with the Liturgical Arts Festival of Springfield.
The public is invited to the opening reception May 3 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. with the award presentation beginning at 5:45 p.m. This year's exhibition will feature the work of 33 artists from across the United States.
"The 2008 exhibition is quite diverse, both in the media selected and individual expressions of faith," said Amanda Gleason SAA curator of collections. "Paintings, drawings, fiber and sculpture are all be represented."

The SAA Gallery of Art is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Admission is free.
