Registration open for on-line VLCFF courses through University of Dayton

Registration begins May 20 and continues through July 9 for on-line courses through the Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation (VLCFF) initiative of the University of Dayton, Courses run July 13 through Aug. 16 at a cost of $40 each.

Registration begins May 20 and continues through July 9 for on-line courses through the Virtual Learning Community for Faith Formation (VLCFF) initiative of the University of Dayton, Courses run July 13 through Aug. 16 at a cost of $40 each.

Since June 2006, the Springfield diocese has been a partner with VLCFF at the University of Dayton. Courses available during the current cycle are:

  • Basic Ecclesiology - for elective credit;

  • Catholic Beliefs - for Overview of Catholic Teachings - Basic Level - credit;

  • Catholic Social Teaching - Intermediate Level - credit;

  • Church History 2 - for elective credit;

  • Evangelization and Discipleship - for Discipleship/Spirituality-Intermediate Level - credit;

  • General Introduction to Syro-Malabar Qurbana - for elective credit;

  • History of Catholic Social Action - for Catholic Social Teaching-Intermediate Level - credit;

  • Introduction to Catechesis - for Basic Methodology Parts I and II - credit;

  • Jesus - for Jesus (Christology) - Intermediate Level - credit;

  • Marianist Studies: Characteristics of Marianist Education - for elective credit;

  • Marianist Studies: Prayer - Personal Spiritual Enrichment - 10 hours;

  • Marianist Studies: Social Justice - for Catholic Social Teaching - Intermediate Level - credit;

  • Media, Faith, and Values - for Intermediate Methodology Part I and II - credit;

  • National Directory for Catechesis - for Intermediate Level Parts I and II - credit;

  • Our Hearts Were Burning - Seminar - for Intermediate Methodology Part I - credit;

  • Overview of the GDC & NDC - Seminar - for Basic Methodology Part I - credit ;
