QUINCY - Quincy University hosted the third annual Quincy area All Catholic Schools Mass on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 10 a.m. in Pepsi Arena.  Students, teachers and staff from St. Francis Solanus, Blessed Sacrament, St. Peter, St. Dominic, St. Mary (Mt. Sterling) elementary schools, Quincy Notre Dame High School, and Quincy University came together for a celebration of the Eucharist on the QU campus.  Bishop George J. Lucas presided at the Mass.

 "We are pleased that Bishop Lucas was present to lead us all in praise of God who teaches and forms us through our school communities," said Father Ralph Parthie, OFM, vice president for mission and ministry  at QU. 

Also invited were parents, family and others interested in joining in worship and thanksgiving, Father Ralph said.

Quincy University faculty, staff and students participated as ministers of hospitality, extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist, readers, choir members and musicians.
