EFFINGHAM - The annual Catholic Charities Benefit Dinner Dance will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Effingham Knights of Columbus Hall. The theme for this year's benefit is Mardi Gras.
A social hour begins at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. The presentation of the annual Vineyard Award and raffle will begin at 8 p.m. Dancing will follow with music provided by The Music Machine until 11:30 p.m. Dress should be in Mardi Gras colors of purple, gold and green and costume is acceptable.
Tickets are available at the Catholic Charities office located on U.S. Route 40 East between Effingham and Teutopolis or through any Catholic Charities' advisory board member. Tickets are $30 each.
Contributors who wish to be recognized in the program can donate at the following levels: Corporate Table $1,200 (eight tickets); St. Vincent de Paul Guild $1,000 (four tickets); Seraphim $500 (two tickets); Cherubim $250 (two tickets); Archangels $150 (two tickets); Guardian Angels $100 (two tickets); and Angels $75 (two tickets).
Catholic Charities in Effingham provides professional, community-based services to residents in Clark, Crawford, Cumberland, Effingham, Fayette, Jasper and Shelby counties. Annually, the office serves thousands of individuals in need through adoption, counseling, crisis assistance, school counseling, crisis pregnancy services, food pantry, foster care, prescription assistance, referral services, Second Hand Rose Resale Shoppe and Ramblin' Rose II bus.
