Guardian Angel Prayer

Angel of God,

my guardian dear,

to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day,

be at my side, to light and guard,

to rule and guide.

Amen.

An Act of Contrition

Oh my God and my all, in thy goodness and mercy please grant that before I die I may regain all the graces which I have lost through my carelessness and folly. Permit me to obtain that degree of merit and perfection to which thou doest desire to lead me and to which I have failed by my unfaithfulness to reach. Mercifully grant also that others may regain the graces which they have lost through my fault. This I humbly beg through the merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Conception.

Amen.

Asking for one is kind of like asking, "Which of your children do you like the best?"

I have three. Every morning and before any challenging event/task I say Come, Holy Spirit. My second prayer is The Prayer for Life, written by Pope John Paul II.

Ever night I say the rosary. It is centered on Our Lord Jesus Christ and it honors our Blessed Mother.

Come, Holy Spirit

Come, Holy Spirit, into the hearts of thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of thy love.

The Prayer for Life

By Pope John Paul II

O Mary, bright dawn of the new world, Mother of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life. Look down, O Mother, upon the vast numbers of babies not allowed to be born, of the poor whose lives are made difficult, of men and women who are victims of brutal violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of misguided mercy. Grant that all who believe in your Son may proclaim the Gospel of Life with honesty and love to the people of our time. Obtain for them the grace to accept that Gospel as a gift ever new, the joy of celebrating it with gratitude throughout their lives and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build, together with all people of good will, the civilization of truth and love, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life.
