DECATUR - A display from the Vatican International Exhibition of the Eucharistic Miracles of the World, which recently was featured on EWTN, will be on exhibit at Our Lady of Lourdes Church from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Feb. 4 to 15. Father Thomas Sullivan, CPM, from the Fathers of Mercy in Auburn, Ky., will preach on the "Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist" at all weekend liturgies at OLOL on Feb. 7 and 8.

A eucharistic miracle is defined as an extraordinary event, which can be experienced through the senses, concerning the bread and wine consecrated at Mass. A eucharistic miracle is said to be a bleeding host or a chalice of Jesus' blood, made visible so all may believe what Jesus means when he says, "This is my body, this is my blood. Do this in remembrance of me."

Over the course of the history of the Catholic Church, over 150 eucharistic miracles have occurred. Organizers of the eucharistic miracles display say anyone who doubts the consecrated bread and wine is truly the body and blood of our Lord Jesus, would not want to miss this display.

More information about the eucharistic miracles display is available on the Internet at www.therealpresence.org.
