Madison County Catholic Charities is sponsoring "A Gift from the Heart," the 9th annual MedAssist fund-raiser, from 6 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Granite City Knights of Columbus Hall, 4225 Old Alton Road.

Included in the evening are dinner catered by Ravanelli's Restaurant, beer and wine, dancing and auctions. Tickets are $30 each and the deadline for reservations is Feb. 9. Tables of eight may be reserved for $240.

Madison County MedAssist has served over 500 clients. In Fiscal Year 2008, 2,781 prescriptions were secured, with a dollar value of over $1.1 million.
