WOOD RIVER — Holy Family Parish will celebrate a five-day parish renewal experience March 29 through April 2, with the principal service taking place each evening at 7 p.m. at the church, 345 E. Acton Ave.

Father Robert D. Morin, OMI, a member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, will be the preacher. The theme of his preaching will be “This Wondrous Love,” explaining how God’s love for humanity leads through the mystery of the cross, the healing of forgiveness and the challenge of discipleship.

In an effort to get “back to the basics,” the theme on Sunday will be “The Creed: Believing and Belonging”; on Monday, “The Sacraments: The Developmental Journey of the Christian”; on Tuesday, “From Morality to Gratitude”; on Wednesday, “Prayer: Our Link to the Lord”; and on Thursday, “Witness: Instruments of His Peace.”

The Missionary Oblates are a religious community of priests and brothers founded in 1816 by St. Eugene de Mazenod, who later became bishop of Marseilles, France. The principal focus of their ministry is to preach the Gospel to the poor. Today, over 5,000 members carry on their mission on every continent.

All are welcome. For more information, call the Holy Family parish office at (618) 254-0679.
