Chatham parish to host concert

St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 700 E. Spruce St., will host the annual spring concert, "Lilacs in the Dooryard," of the Springfield Choral Society at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 3, in the sanctuary. The society will present the world premiere of , by American composer Carol Barnett. A reception in the O'Hara Hall will follow the concert.

CHATHAM - St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 700 E. Spruce St., will host the annual spring concert, "Lilacs in the Dooryard," of the Springfield Choral Society at 7 p.m. Sunday, May 3, in the sanctuary. The society will present the world premiere of Lilacs, by American composer Carol Barnett. A reception in the O'Hara Hall will follow the concert.

Tickets for the concert are $10 each and are available from choral society members or at the door.

The concert follows the parish's annual chicken dinner, serving from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the same day.
