PEORIA - Catholic women in Illinois are invited to a leadership training and development program sponsored by the National Council of Catholic Women from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. June 6 at the Spalding Pastoral Center, 419 NE Madison.NCCW trainers from Florida and Rockford will conduct the seminar. The seminar topics range from promoting spirituality to membership development.
"This seminar is for all who want to know how they can be the best version of themselves that they can be as Catholic women. It is not only for the current leadership in our parish women's groups, but for those who are emerging leaders," says Chicago Province director Rebecca Woodhull, who is in charge of bringing the national seminar to Illinois.
"When I first got involved, I went to our leadership meetings because I was thirsting for how I could be a better Catholic woman, not because I wanted an office. Aren't we all like that?" she asks. "The location is central and the registration cost is reasonable at $20 for the seminar and $9 for lunch. Come - join us!"
The National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) is made up of Catholic women's groups at the regional, state, diocesan, deanery and parish levels. Their goal is to support, empower and educate all Catholic women.
