obit-sr-ann-goes.jpgCAMPBELLSPORT, Wis. — School Sister of St. Francis Ann (Eulalia) Goes, 85,  died Aug. 18 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport.

The daughter of Henry and Anna Goes, she was born Aug. 27, 1922 in Chicago.  She was received into the School Sisters of St. Francis June 13, 1941 and made first profession of vows June 21, 1943 and final (perpetual) vows June 21, 1949.

Sister Ann lived her religious ministry in Nebraska, Illinois and Wisconsin. In the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois, Sister Ann taught at St. James School in Decatur (1963-1973), and served at St. Mary Hospital in Decatur as an emergency room receptionist (1973-1992) and health unit coordinator (1992-2004).

Sister Ann is survived by nieces and nephews, friends and the School Sisters of St. Francis.

The funeral Mass took place on Aug. 22, 2008 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. Interment followed at Sisters’ Cemetery.
