Kathryn Abell O’Brien of Decatur, mother of Deacon John M. O’Brien, died April 7 at BroMenn Medical Center in Bloomington, age 90.

The Mass of Christian Burial was April 13 at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Decatur. Burial was in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Assumption.

Deacon O’Brien is assigned to Immaculate Conception Parish, Shelbyville, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, Assumption, and St. Francis DeSales Parish, Moweaqua.
