Obituary - Sister Francis Sarabeth Prindle, OSF

sarabeth prindleMILWAUKEE — Sister Francis Sarabeth Prindle, OSF, who lived her religious vocation in education and social services, died March 19 at Sacred Heart Convent in Milwaukee. She was 87 years old.

The daughter of Lulu and Preston Prindle, she was born July 29, 1927 in Quincy. She was received into the School Sisters of St. Francis June 13, 1950; made her first profession of vows June 21, 1952; and final (perpetual) vows June 21, 1958.

Beginning in 1952, Sister Sarabeth ministered in Illinois, Wisconsin and Nebraska for more than 60 years. In the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois, she served as librarian (1971-1973) and library technology assistant (1973-1975) at Quincy College in Quincy, and then served as a public school psychology aide in Quincy from 1975-1978.

Sister Sarabeth is survived by her nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and the School Sisters of St. Francis community, with whom she shared her life for 64 years.

A wake and funeral liturgy were held March 28 at St. Joseph Convent in Milwaukee. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee.
